Snooker: Chinese Ding defeats British Wilson, crowns his 13th title

Chinese professional snooker player Ding Junhui defeated British counterpart Kyren Wilson Sunday night at the final WPBSA World Open in Yushan, Jiangxi Province with a dominating 10-3 victory, crowning his 13th championship.

The 30-year-old Ding blew a 6-1 lead at the opening session, was then clawed back by the 25-year-old Wilson to two frames, winning an advantage 6-3 at the first half.
At the 10th frame, British Wilson stopped with 14 points then missed the black to the bottom pocket. Ding seized the chance with a 67-break changing the score to 7-3.
After a run of 107 and 71 breaks in the following two, Ding came to his game frame.

At the thirteenth frame, Wilson stopped by 24 points, while Ding missed the red to the middle pocket.
Later, Wilson missed red to the middle, Ding responded with a 54-break and subsequently missed his shot to drop the red into the bottom pocket. British Wilson then missed the pink in the crucial deciding frame and was defeated by a score of 67-61.
Chinese Ding Junhui ranked second among world snooker players after the game, just after British Mark Selby, who failed in the first round of the tournament.
