Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta met with opposition leader Raila Odinga for the first time since last year's contested elections.
The surprise meeting saw the two pledge reconciliation. Standing side-by-side at the president's downtown office, the pair announced a plan to overcome corruption and division between ethnic groups. It came hours before the arrival of US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. Washington has been urging direct talks between the two leaders to ease the political divide.
