Typhoon Hato: PLA troops from Macao Garrison join rescue work

The Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) troops from the Macao Garrison have joined in the rescue and recovery operations in the aftermath of Typhoon Hato.
The Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) government had asked the central government for help by the PLA Macao Garrison and Beijing at once approved the application, on Friday.
Swiftly responding to an order, a total of 1,000 soldiers were dispatched to the disaster-hit areas in Macao.
The PLA Garrison in Macao said it will make concerted efforts with the Macao SAR government and local residents, to protect people's lives and properties and put life and production back to normal as soon as possible.
