Season 3 of 'A Bite of China' to debut during holiday

The hugely popular documentary "A Bite of China" is coming back with its third season and is scheduled to air daily starting Feb. 19 during the Spring Festival holiday, according to a launch conference held in Beijing.
Following the previous two seasons, "A Bite of China 3" will continue to depict the intricacies of and meaning behind Chinese food, as well as the relationship between food and people.
This year's season contains eight episodes, with each lasting about 50 minutes. Li Lihong will reprise his role as the narrator.

The vice head of China Central Television (CCTV) Wei Dichun is pleased to see that his work has cheered up Chinese documentary industry. 
"The third season will keep being a window for the world to learn about China," Wei said on the launch conference.
The documentary is highly anticipated following the successful season one in 2012 and season two in 2014.
Centering on the history of Chinese cuisine, "A Bite of China" has met with rave reviews since its debut. The first season has drawn an estimated 100 million viewers and gained an overall approval rating of 9.3 out of 10 on Douban, a popular film review website in China.
