The world's ONLY panda triplets have turned FOUR years old Sunday in South China's Guangzhou. CGTN's Sun Ye tells us about their birthday party.
Oblivious to the guests or the fanfare.
The triplets, one girl and two boys, stay single-mindedly FIXATED on their birthday feast at their 4th birthday party.
SUN YE GUANGZHOU "They were born at just 100 grams each, but now they weigh around 100 kilograms. Part of the reason? They have multiple meals. And fight over them."
The brawl may look terrifying, but zoo keepers assure that it's just friendly, sibling play. And even if it gets worse, they know how best to cut it out.
CHEN SHUQING ZOO KEEPER "There is a trick that never fails to stop their fight. Just give them food. They're real foodies, that's known to everyone now."
She also makes sure Mengmeng, Shuaishuai, and Kuku have a balanced diet. And apples, as it turns out, are guilty pleasures for them.
CHEN SHUQING ZOO KEEPER "They like panda cakes best of course, the apples and grapes. But these are refined foods for pandas. We make sure they stay with their staple, bamboo shoots."
Human triplets have gathered to celebrate the precious trio.
"It's just miraculous see panda triplets! They are bigger than we thought! And they can fight!"
The world's ONLY and LONGEST-living panda triplets have their own personalities now. The big sister is quiet and polite. While the two brothers are more feisty. But one just can't tell them apart when they've taken to eat.
