​SCO Summit: China and Kyrgyzstan to upgrade security cooperation

Staying with the SCO. Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev will attend the SCO summit in Qingdao during his official state visit to China that concludes Sunday. Chinese President Xi Jinping was to host the Kazakhstan president in Beijing on Thursday. The president said in an interview with CGTN that he has high hopes for the Qingdao summit. Nazarbayev said the SCO has become an important international organization and will become stronger with India and Pakistan as new member states. The president also said that economic cooperation between the SCO member states is more active and fruitful than in days past.

There are now more than 65 countries that have joined the Belt and Road Initiative with roughly 600 billion US dollars in investment. The 100 billion dollar Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank was built. Our funds are used to benefit people in all countries and all these are achievements under the SCO framework."
