Canada Triple Murder: Authorities narrow search for 2 teens suspected of killing 3 people

Canadian authorities have charged two teenagers with murder and have issued Canada-wide warrants for their arrest. The father of one of the suspects said he believes his son plans to go out in "a blaze of glory." Omar Jimenez has the story.
Motives unknown, considered armed and dangerous, and the center of a sprawling manhunt. 19-year-old Kam Mcleod and 18-year-old Bryer Schmegelsky are suspected of killing three people in the Canadian province of British Columbia, including an American woman and her Australian boyfriend.
And the current search is one that the father of Schmegelsky doesn't think his son will emerge from alive.
ALAN SCHMEGELSKY FATHER OF SUSPECT "A normal child doesn't travel across the country, killing people. A child in some very serious pain does. Basically, he's going to be dead today or tomorrow. I know that."
This mystery began back on July 15th in the northern part of British Columbia. That's where the bodies of 24-year-old Chynna Deese and Lucas Fowler were found. This surveillance video captured the couple just days prior at a gas station.
In a separate incident, Schmegelsky's burned-out truck was found on July 19th on the side of a highway, leading police to the body of 64-year-old Leonard Dyck. The two men have been charged in Dyck's murder. Police have not said what led them to the pair.
Another burned out SUV they were reported to be using was found near the town of Gillam on Monday, putting the area on edge.
MAYOR DWAYNE FOREMAN MANITOBA, CANADA "I can totally understand that they might be anxious, I am as well. Cause it's an unknown. We don't know what's happening right now. We don't know where they are."
I'm Omar Jimenez reporting.
