To snooker's China Open in Beijing. Where defending champion Mark Selby would face Kyren Wilson in the semi-finals. The reigning champ, and world number one looking to go into this month's world championship on a high.
The 23-year-old Wilson fell behind 6-3, but is able to close the gap. Taking the 10th and 11th frames to make it a 6-5 deficit. Leading 57-nothing in the 12th, Lord Baelish from Game of Thrones can't get this red to fall, allowing the world number to take the frame. Off to the 18th, and Selby in front 9-8. Wilson playing well, getting the long red, but he turns the table over to Selby -- who gets on a roll. The champ putting the brown down - and holds on to win it 10-8 and has a chance to defend his title later today.
The other semi-final sees Barry Hawkins register breaks of 124 and 101 eventually overcoming Australian Neil Robertson to claim a 10-6 victory. Hawkins, a runner-up at the Welsh Open last month, is into his seventh career ranking final and first in China. The Beijing event is the last event before the World Championship which starts in two weeks.
