The Chinese version of the “Lion King Dance” and a special Chinese “dragon dance” are being performed at the theme park for the holiday, providing a dream world for visitors with a sprinkle of Chinese flavor as well as to enliven the New Year atmosphere.

Travelers visiting the park after a year’s busy work make use of the Spring Festival holiday to enjoy precious time with their family members. For some, it is the first time visiting a Disney theme park.
“We came from Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, and arrived in Shanghai yesterday. Two sons, two daughters-in-law, four grandchildren and us. Altogether we have 10 people here,” said one tourist.
“We didn't expect so many visitors on the first day of the holiday. Tomorrow is my birthday so it's a special gift from him...it's so fantastic here, quite fulfilling my rosy girly dream," said another tourist, accompanied by her partner.
The major attractions also include the Chinese signs of the zodiac represented by Disney characters in “The Garden of 12 Friends”. The "rooster wall" is the favorite selfie spot right now, regardless of the tourists' own zodiac signs.
Chinese elements, like Disney characters in traditional Chinese costumes, red lanterns in the shape of Mickey and Chinese paper-cutting art are everywhere to be seen, highlighting the efforts made by the park to give tourists a memorable Spring Festival atmosphere.
