The word "shithole", along with poop emojis, was projected onto the front entrance of US President Donald Trump’s Washington hotel, attracting nationwide social media comment on Sunday.
‘Not a D.C. resident and need a place to stay? Try our shithole,” the projection read, with smiling emojis scattered on the outer wall of the Trump International Hotel, formerly the Old Post Office building.
Robin Bell, an editor and video journalist who often works on political interest projects, took credit for the stunt. He told that CNN the projection was up for around 40 minutes and it was at least the 15th time he's projected his work onto the hotel.
On Twitter, thousands of people left comments on Bell's picture, over half of which applauded what he had done.

Bell has become known as a kind of projectionist provocateur and something of a “hit-and-run editorial writer,” as The Washington Post described him last year.
The projection came after Trump met lawmakers on  immigration matters January 11 during which he is alleged to have described El Salvador, Haiti and certain African nations as “shithole” countries. He has denied using that exact term.

Some of the president's other properties have faced a wave of negative reviews on Yelp, a website where users can leave comments about businesses. About a third of the reviews for his Trump Tower in New York call it “a shithole.”
