A German national has been arrested with Taliban fighters in Afghanistan -- a rare example of a European found with militants. Officials say the man speaks German and identified himself as a German citizen.
He was arrested on Monday night in Helmand Province, northwest of Kandahar. The police chief said the suspect was the military adviser to the commander of the Taliban's elite Red Unit in the province.
