Three killed after gas leak in north China

At least three people were killed and one person was hospitalized on Monday following a gas leak at a residential building in north China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, local authorities said.

The incident happened on Monday morning in the city of Baotou. Authorities said that as of 2:30 p.m. local time, three people were confirmed dead.

The cause of the incident remains unclear.

A search and rescue operation to evacuate the building is underway.
