A tsunami warning was issued for parts of Alaska and Canada’s British Columbia following a 7.9-magnitude earthquake that hit 280km southeast of Kodiak, Alaska at 09:31 GMT on Tuesday. Cars queued to evacuate Alaska's Kodiak Island following the tsunami warning.
