Vice Finance Minister: Chinese economy developing in healthy, stable manner

The government will continue to reduce taxes, strengthen budget management, safeguard and improve welfare systems and strengthen the management of local government debt, said China's Vice Minister of Finance Liu Wei.
Liu made the remarks when briefing the media on China's fiscal and monetary policies and taking questions from reporters at a press conference held by the State Council Information Office on Friday.
According to the Vice Finance Minister, the Chinese economy is developing in a healthy and stable manner.
Around 1 trillion yuan in tax burdens have been saved so far this year, Liu said, adding that China is making efforts to increase poverty alleviation, while more positive employment policies have been implemented to promote job creation.
