The Winter Olympics in PyeongChang are set to be the coldest ever, with temperatures for Friday's opening ceremony predicted to go as low as minus 25 degrees Celsius. But here are some tricks to help athletes and spectators to endure the freezing weather.

1. Raincoat

There is a possibility that it could snow during the opening ceremony. A raincoat can help keep spectators dry in that case.

2. Blanket

The wind is expected to be strong and blankets are capable of keeping people warm. They can be put around the shoulders, sat on or wrapped around the legs.

3. Heat pack

The contents of the pack will start to crystallize once they are exposed to the air. They heat up to about 50 degrees Celsius and can last for quite a few hours. Stick them to hands and feet and also put a couple in the pockets.

4. Seat warmer

Because the seats in the PyeongChang stadium can be absolutely freezing, seat warmers can protect the audience and allow them to enjoy the show.
