US President Donald Trump said that he may meet Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) leaders' meeting, set to be held next week in Vietnam.
"We may have a meeting with Putin. Putin is very important because they can help us with North Korea, with Syria. We have to talk about Ukraine," Trump said in interview to Fox News.
Trump and Putin had their first official talks on July 7 on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Hamburg, Germany.

The US president will participate on November 10 as one of his stops of his Asia-Pacific tour, which includes Japan, South Korea, China, Vietnam and the Philippines.
Spokesman for the Russian president's office, Dmitry Peskov, told reporters that the schedule of bilateral meetings for Putin, who will also take part in the APEC forum, is currently being prepared.
No meetings on the sidelines of the event have been slated so far.
