Chinese President Xi Jinping called on efforts to promote manufacturing and innovation as part of efforts to boost the country's real economy.
He made the remarks during an inspection tour in a construction machinery factory in Xuzhou City, east China's Jiangsu Province on Tuesday.
China has to boost real economy, which means it must develop manufacture industry and innovation, Xi stressed.
He told workers he's glad to see their machines having been exported to several developed countries, while encouraging them to put more efforts in innovation.

Xi has highlighted the importance of real economy in the report to the 19th CPC National Congress in October.
"We will move Chinese industries up to the medium-high end of the global value chain, and foster a number of world-class advanced manufacturing clusters," the president said in the report.
Xi went to a national wetland park in the city and applauded the ecological restoration. The park was built on an abandoned coal subsidence mining site. He reiterated "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets."

The president also visited a village and stressed the role of Party members in building a village economy.
