France-India Ties: Two nations sign deals on trade, energy and defense

To New Delhi, where visiting French President Emmanuel Macron says he hopes his country can be India's best partner in Europe and entry point for the continent.
Macron and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi have signed a number of deals on nuclear energy, defense, trade and space exploration. The French president is on the second day of his first four-day visit to India. During his trip, the two countries are expected to co-host the first meeting of the International Solar Alliance, an initiative they launched on the sidelines of the Paris Climate Conference in 2015.
