Two bodies have been recovered and three people remain missing on Friday in a shipwreck off the coast of southern China's Guangdong Province.
Two cargo ships, loaded with about 5,000 tonnes of steel and sand respectively, collided at dawn Monday near the Pearl River estuary, causing one to sink, according to provincial maritime authorities.
Seven of the 12 missing crew members were rescued Tuesday afternoon. The rescued sailors suffered from ailments ranging from light surface injuries to oxygen deprivation while many are also undergoing lung issues.
One of the seven rescued sailors has been discharged from hospital, while one is under intensive care.
Forty-seven divers have been sent to search for the missing sailors at the mouth of the Pearl River.
