At least seven Hindu pilgrims were killed and 15 others wounded on Monday after militants attacked their bus in restive Indian-controlled Kashmir, police said.
The attack took place in Botengoo village in Anantnag town, the summer capital of Indian-controlled Kashmir.
Locals said they heard gunshots and rushed inside their houses.
Police said the injured have been hospitalized.
So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
