It is said that the giant pillars of rock in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park inspired scenes in sci-fi blockbuster “Avatar,” and visitors to the UNESCO World Heritage site in central China’s Hunan Province this weekend would have found that claim even more credible. Overnight rain caused mist to swirl around the pillars and left anyone scaling the mountainous structures in the park feeling like they were floating in the clouds.
