Patrick Reed stormed into a two-shot lead after the second round of the US Masters on Friday, while Chinese golfer Li Haotong struggled in his second round, firing a 4-over 76, but still made the cut in his debut at Augusta National.
Li signed for a 3-under 64 and is tied for fourth in the first round, and World No. 42 is 1-over par after two rounds at first major of 2018 season.
“After the front nine, even if I make two bogeys in a row, I just felt like I played alright, a couple bad breaks. Even the couple doubles weren’t real bad doubles…just sensible,” Li said, adding he’s happy so far.
“I just want to make cut first. Because you never know here on the weekend…someone is going to shoot a crazy score…and someone…you never know on the weekend."
Tiger Woods struggled in the tough scoring conditions at a windy Augusta National. The 14-times major champion was mixing three bogeys with a double-bogey and two birdies for a three-over-par 75 that put him on four-over par for the week.

"Six months ago I didn't know if I'd be playing golf. Forget playing at the Tour level, I didn't know if I ever be playing again. But it's incredible for having the opportunity again, to still come out here and play this golf course. Now I know I'm on the weekend. Even though I'm a lot behind, if I play a special weekend, shoot two rounds in the mid 60s, you never know," Woods said.
Patrick Reed still seeking his first career green jacket, mixed nine birdies with three bogeys for a six-under-par 66 that brought him to nine under for the week, two shots clear of Australian Marc Leishman (67), who drained an eagle at 15.
Swede Henrik Stenson (70) ends the day in third, at minus-five, while Rory McIlroy (71) and former champion Jordan Spieth (74) are a further shot adrift.
Defending Champion Sergio Garcia was joined in going 15 over and missing the cut by China's Lin Yuxin.
