CPC Central Committee issues plan to deepen institutional reform

The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) has recently issued a plan to deepen the reform of the Party and state institutions, Xinhua reported on Wednesday.
The reform is aimed at improving the Party's overall leadership, optimizing the Party’s organizational structure, establishing and improving the Party's leadership system for major work, giving better play to the role of the Party’s functional departments, and promoting the Party and government agencies with similar duties and responsibilities, according to the plan.
A National Supervision Commission will be established while the Ministry of Supervision and National Bureau of Corruption Prevention will no longer be retained.
Organization Department of the CPC will take charge of the management of civil servants. The State Administration of Civil Service will be abolished.
The Publicity Department of the CPC will take over the administration of press, publication and film from the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television.
China Central Television, China National Radio, and China Radio International will be integrated into a state radio and television administration, which will be under the leadership of the publicity department.
