Xiong'an One Year On: High starting point for tech industry

One year on, Xiong'an New Area is becoming an attractive option for tech companies, CGTN's Ning Hong has the story.

Zhong Guancun is often called China's Silicon Valley. 12 companies from there have now signed initial agreements to move to Xiong'an. Wang Shuqi works for one high-tech company in Beijing and is one of the foremost experts in her field. She envisions many prospects with Xiong'an's adaption of technology.

As a member of Xiong'an Research Center, Professor Wang thinks there is more to do.

Shenzhen has such good development because it provides better services in these areas, especially the government's service for the real economy."

So far, at least 48 companies have registered in Xiong'an. Most are in green tech, high-end services, and high-tech research sectors. The best promotion for Xiong'an will be the companies succeed here. Ning Hong, CGTN, Xiong'an New Area.
