Pakistan's ruling party names brother of ousted Nawaz Sharif as his successor

Pakistan's ruling party PML-N has chosen Shehbaz Sharif to suceed his older brother Nawaz Sharif who resigned as the country's prime minister after being disqualified on Friday, Xinhua News Agency reported on Saturday. Shehbaz Sharif is the chief minister of Punjab Province.
The decision was announced after a PML-N's parliamentarians meeting, during which it was also agreed to name former Petroleum Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi as the country's interim prime minister before the nomination of Shehbaz Sharif is approved by the National Assembly.
