Webcast Festival: Wuhan brings top webcasters together for industry event

Webcasts -- when an event or media presentation is streamed live online -- are very popular nowadays. That's particularly evident at the first International Wuhan Webcast Festival. The event in central China is expected to attract over 600-thousand people over three days. And thousands of webcasters will broadcast the event live. Chen Zijian has more.

CHEN ZIJIAN WUHAN "The webcast festival is held along an 1.8-kilometer stretch of Yangtze River beach. People rush in as the event begins. Behind me, is the main stage. During these 3 days, from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., internet celebrities will put on shows one after another."

Besides the main stage, the festival has 10 themed areas, such as e-sports, cartoons, movies, fashion, automobiles, and food. E-sports is the hottest one.

CHEN ZIJIAN WUHAN "World famous eSports tournament Intel Master Challenge choose this festival as its first entry to China. On a 200-square-meter stage, top players show off their skills."

Chen bo is a young but experienced player of the game "League of Legend".

Though not as skillful as professional players, people of any skill level can take part in playing the most popular titles at the festival. And have fun meeting streaming celebrities, such as Zhang Daxian. He's known for his commentary and streaming his game play of the mobile game "Honor of the King". He showed off another talent during the event. One that his fans not might know about.
