We start with news from the Korean Peninsula. Chinese President Xi Jinping's special envoy has arrived in Seoul for a two-day visit.
Senior diplomat Yang Jiechi directs the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission under the Chinese Communist Party's Central Committee. A South Korean presidential official said Yang will give a briefing on the talks between President Xi and DPRK leader Kim Jong-un. The Chinese envoy is scheduled to have dinner meeting with Chung Eui-yong, chief of the presidential National Security Office. Yang is also scheduled to talk to South Korean President Moon Jae-in.
