Now to the election in Malaysia, where Prime Minister Najib Razak's ruling coalition has gained a slight lead in an early vote count.
According to unofficial results reported by state news agency Bernama, the ruling party has won 15 of parliament's 222 seats, while the opposition led by Mahathir Mohamad has won 12. Under Malaysia's electoral system, the party or alliance with the majority of the 222 seats in parliament will win the election.
