China has made many achievements in diplomacy in 2017, said Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi during an exclusive interview with China Central Television (CCTV), reviewing the nation's foreign affairs in 2017.
Wang said, first of all, China's philosophy has been well received around the globe. Chinese President Xi Jinping has elaborated on this philosophy during his speeches at the World Economic Forum in Davos and the United Nations' headquarters in Geneva, voicing the need for promoting economic globalization and building a community with a shared future for mankind.
Wang noted that during the G20 Summit in Hamburg and the APEC Summit in Vietnam, President Xi also elaborated the Chinese concept of building an open world economy and promoting economic integration in the Asia Pacific region.
As for how China has put its approach to global governance into practice, Wang said the country has held the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, where international consensus has been reached among countries to work together under the Belt and Road Initiative.

The country has strengthened coordination and cooperation with major countries such as the US and Russia. It has improved relations with neighboring countries and made breakthroughs in ties with other developing countries.
