China's Political Season: State Council's institutional reforms aim to make government more efficient

China has unveiled its plan for State Council institutional reforms. The goal is to better structure the government, and increase efficiency.
Under the draft plan, the State Council will now comprise of 26 ministries and commissions. Some will be brand new, such as the ministries of Natural Resources, Ecological Environment, and Agriculture and Rural Areas. Ones that have been deemed a surplus to current requirements, will be dismantled.
