Chinese Premier Li Keqiang said Tuesday that China and Russia are each other's biggest neighbors, and a stable and amicable relationship is in the interests of both countries and the world.
Li made the remarks at a press conference after the conclusion of the annual national legislative session. He said Chinese President Xi Jinping had called Russian President Vladimir Putin to congratulate him for his re-election.
Li said trade relations between the two countries have seen new developments. The slide in trade between China and Russia reversed toward growth last year, with trade registering over 20 percent growth year-on-year.
The trade volume between the two big economies stands at 80 billion US dollars and has the potential to reach 100 billion, he said.
