Week Ahead: Chinese stock markets to start trading after Lunar Holiday

Let's take a look at what's waiting ahead this week. Hong Kong's stock market will begin its Lunar New Year trading on Tuesday. The exchange closed for the Spring Festival on Monday. On Wednesday, the US Federal Reserve will reveal minutes of its policy meeting in January. Additional information in the minutes is not likely to move the markets too much.
Moving to Thursday, stock exchanges in the Chinese mainland will reopen after the long New Year holiday. On Friday, the European statistics authority will publish inflation data for January. The consumer price index is expected to remain below the government's 2 percent target.
