What a panda needs to know. The 42 cubs are being taught to hone their instincts and essential survival skills. The eldest is about eight months, and the youngest only about six. Their feeders say they're now beginning to recognize sounds, climb trees and imitate their mother's behavior, such as biting into leaves.
The Spring Festival couplets, Chun-Lian, are a big part of Chinese New Year tradition. And to spread the cheer, they're being translated into English. As the country welcomes the Year of the Dog, we wish you "eat well, sleep well, and have fun day by day" during the holiday.
