Asian Civilization Week: Various cultural activities May 15-22

This week's Conference on Dialogue of Asian Civilizations comes complete with parades, performances, food festivals and other cultural activities.
Event organizers say now through May 22nd, there will be around 200 film screenings across the country, featuring over 60 Asian contemporary, classic, animation and documentary films. The cities Beijing, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, and Chengdu will host food festivals, showcasing the cuisines of India, Singapore, Thailand and other Asian countries. Meanwhile, performers from around the world will put on more than 50 concerts, operas, music and theater shows in Beijing. In addition, an Asian cultural relic exhibition will be on display until August 11th at the National Museum of China.
LUO JING, DIRECTOR MUSEUMS AT THE STATE ADMINISTRATION OF CULTURAL HERITAGE "Under the theme of 'Beauty', the exhibition gathers 450 groups of relics from all 47 Asian countries. Among which, 9 countries including the UAE and Sri Lanka are participating for the first time. These relics will present the beauty of these countries' civilizations, and bring a wonderful experience to viewers."
