An 81-year-old man got trapped in waist-deep mud while he was out fishing in Hanchuan City, central China's Hubei Province on December 11. He was about ten meters away from the river bank, so rescuing him wasn't easy. Every time he made a move, he just sank down deeper and deeper. Local villagers and police had to use sticks and wooden boards to get closer to the man. Finally, they managed to dig him out of the mud and, thankfully, the old man was not injured.
