China and African nations have held high-level dialogues in Addis Ababa on the role of development in combating poverty on Wednesday.
During the meeting, China presented its five priority cooperation areas with the African Union.
Foreign Minister Wang Yi said that relations between China and Africa could be described as a partnership based on mutual interests – not as one region imposing ideologies on the other.
This Chinese policy was already evident in many countries in the continent, he said, adding China and African nations were laying the foundations for an even stronger partnership by sharing experiences during the summit.
