South Korea is set to allocate more than 2.6 million dollars to cover the cost of hosting the DPRK delegation during the Winter Olympics in PyeongChang.
The Unification Ministry said the funds will cover expenses like food and accommodations. There is a separate pool of money for high-level officials, including Kim Yo Jong, the sister of the country's leader Kim Jong Un. South Korea invited the DPRK to the Olympics in hopes to defuse months of tension over Pyongyang's nuclear and missile programs.
