EU foreign ministers said they would “consider further appropriate responses” in line with the UN Security Council.
They made this statement at a meeting in Brussels on Monday to discuss migration and the Korean peninsula.
In response to heightened tensions on the Korean Peninsula, EU Foreign Affairs chief Federica Mogherini said that a political solution, which is “for sure not a military” one, is needed.
British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson said he hoped the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea “see sense,” and having China to be pressured to apply influence over the isolated country.
