Israel-Syria Conflict: Israeli president visits pilot of downed fighter jet in hospital

The Israeli President has visited a pilot who was injured after his F-16 was downed by Syria. Reuven Rivlin praised security forces' "uncompromising commitment".
Both of the jet's two-man crew survived the crash in northern Israel. The advanced warplane was returning from a bombing raid on Iran-backed positions in Syria.
Israeli generals insist they've inflicted great damage on Syria -- even as Damascus and Tehran celebrate what they deemed a strategic gain in the decades-old standoff with their foe.
