Zimbabwe Election Results: AU calls for aggrieved parties to seek legal solutions

The African Union is calling for a speedy resolution to ease tensions caused by Zimbabwe's historic election. Six people died during protests disputing Emmerson Mnangagwa's victory. AU Commission Chairperson Moussa Faki Mahat, has congratulated the country for the predominantly peaceful elections, and says all Zimbabweans must work towards unity. CGTN's Girum Chala has more.
GIRUM CHALA ADDIS ABABA, ETHIOPIA "The unfortunate loss of lives in Zimbabwe following the recently held elections in the country has saddened many at the continental organisation. And Chairperson Mousa Faki Mahamt appreciated the commitment by Zimbabwean authorities to investigate the regrettable incidents.
Faki Mahamt has sent out his congratulatory messages to the people of Zimbabwe for staging a largely peaceful elections.
And also said any stakeholder with any kind of grievances caused by the election results or its processes must refrain from inciting violence and only chose legal means to address them. He said it is time for everyone in that southern Africa nation to join hands for a common national cause and help achieve peace.
