Police officers have rescued passengers from a van that had fallen into the frozen Xingkai Lake in Mishan City, northeast China's Heilongjiang Province. The van driver said he and his friends had planned to drive on the frozen lake. However, the ice was not completely frozen at the center of the lake, and it was too late for him to brake. The front half of the car began to sink, slowly bringing the whole vehicle under the water.
