Teenage suicide bomber kills dad, nine others in Nigeria attack

Ten people, including the attacker's estranged father, were killed in a suicide attack on a mosque in northeastern  Nigeria on Wednesday, according to local residents and officials.
A teenage male suicide bomber known in the area sneaked into the local mosque and detonated an improvised explosive device strapped to his body during early morning prayers in the mosque in Gamboru in Borno state, said Abba Lawan, a resident.
"The suicide bomber hailed from Gamboru town, he disowned his parents and joined the terrorists in the bush," Lawan said.

He said wounded persons were sent to a medical clinic for treatment. 
The Nigerian military, while confirming the attack to Xinhua news agency, said another suspected suicide bomber was killed in Rann, a town located in Kala-Balge area of Borno.
Rogers Nicholas, the commander of the troops fighting the Boko Haram terror group in the northeast region of Nigeria, said only five bodies had been recovered so far by the military.
Nigeria has made considerable gains on Boko Haram, with its security forces having dislodged its fighters from the Sambisa Forest, their last enclave in the country.
No group has claimed responsibility for the Gamboru attack so far.
