China successfully conducts test on missile interception technology

China conducted a test on ground-based midcourse missile interception technology within its territory on Monday, the Chinese Ministry of National Defense said on Tuesday, adding that the result met the anticipated target.
The test is defensive in nature and is not targeted at any country, the ministry added.
