The Chinese tea brand Wuyi Rock Tea is well known for its high quality which is derived from the green mountains and clear waters where its middle- or small-sized leaves grow, as well as its unique growing technique which was listed as China's national intangible cultural heritage in 2006. Huang Shengliang, a 12th generation Wuyi Rock Tea master, says that temperature, humidity and the freshness of the leaves are all factors that could influence the production, but it all hinges on the master’s experience, and great efforts are made to preserve these teas, which are processed by hand in the traditional way.
