Greece joins countries supporting Spain’s territorial integrity

Greece has joined countries across Europe which sided with Madrid amid the spiraling tensions prompted by the Catalan parliament's unilateral declaration of independence on Friday.
"Greece supports Spain’s territorial integrity and rejects unilateral actions that undermine the country’s unity and the immutability of borders," said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement on Sunday.

"We are particularly concerned about the situation in Spain and repeat that Europe can only go forward united," said Greek government spokesman Dimitris Tzanakopoulos earlier.
"Unilateral actions cannot be accepted," he added.
