Trump says Las Vegas shooting an ‘act of pure evil’

US President Donald Trump on Monday said the deadly shooting in Las Vegas is “an act of pure evil” in a speech delivered to the nation.

Trump ordered flags flown at half-staff after the massacre.

The president also praised the police for their “miraculous” reaction following the shooting.

On Sunday night, a gunman opened fire on a crowd gathered at a country music festival, leaving more than 50 people dead and over 400 others injured.
