General Secretary Xi has urged breaking new ground in major country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics. He highlighted 10 major aspects of his thought.

Xi called to uphold the authority of the CPC Central Committee as the overarching principle on external work and advance major country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics to fulfill the mission of realizing national rejuvenation. He also called to preserve world peace and pursue common development with building a shared future for humanity as a purpose and enhanced strategic confidence with socialism with Chinese characteristics as the support.

He vowed that China will deepen its opening up policy and forge ahead on the Belt and Road through discussion and collaboration. He said China will follow the path of peaceful development on the basis of mutual respect and win-win cooperation and develop global partnerships while advancing a diplomatic agenda.

He called on China to lead the reform of the global governance system with fairness and justice, take national core interests as the bottom line to safeguard China's sovereignty, security and development interests and nurture a distinctive style of Chinese diplomacy.
