Teacher held, kindergarten head fired over child abuse report

The teacher allegedly involved in horrifying child abuse at a kindergarten in Beijing has been arrested, according to a note published by Beijing Police on Saturday.
The female teacher surnamed Liu, 22, was arrested on suspicion of child abuse at the RYB Education New World Kindergarten in Beijing's Chaoyang District.
She was later fired by RYB Education, according to a company statement.
The statement also confirmed that it has removed the head of the kindergarten and expressed apology to the public over the incident.
Another 31-year-old female has also been detained for fabricating and distributing false information via internet about the military‘s involvement, which a senior People's Liberation Army (PLA) official has denied on Friday.
Earlier this week, private nursery RYB Education New World Kindergarten was accused of injecting needles, giving unknown medication and sexually assaulting some students.
Further investigation into the case is still underway and a nationwide inspection of kindergartens has also been ordered on Friday.
