China urges Japan to find out truth after missing Chinese sisters confirmed dead

The Chinese embassy urged Japan to find out the truth as soon as possible after the two bodies found in Kanagawa Prefecture, southeast Japan, were identified as the two missing Chinese sisters on Friday afternoon.
The embassy said in a statement that it urged Japanese authorities to attach importance to the case and arrest and punish the perpetrators according to law.
The case is under further investigation and the embassy will keep an eye on its progress.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang extended his condolences to the victim's families on Friday during a regular press conference.
Geng also promised the embassy will continue to provide assistance after the family members visit Japan.
On Tuesday night, a Chinese national called the embassy to report the two Chinese sisters were missing in Yokohama, according to a statement published by the embassy on Friday.
Japanese media reported on Friday morning that two bodies had been found in suitcases in a mountainous area of Kanagawa.
