These two people would have been the most patient pair on the road.
A video recording of a one-minute deadlock between a driver and a staff member at a toll gate on Nanping Expressway in southeastern Fujian Province has enraged Chinese social media users, with many criticizing the staff member, but quickly turning their judgement to the driver one day later.
In the video footage, the driver stretched out his arm, trying to hand his expressway pass to a female staff sitting in a toll gate booth. But neither of them attempted to stretch further for a hand-over. A minute later, the female staff closed the window and left.

Some social media users responded brusquely to the staff member, with a Weibo user who goes as @Xinlanganhui even changing it to a parody of an advertisment, claiming that such a thing would never happen in Anhui Province.

The Fujian Expressway Company immediately investigated the video and explained that the female worker had repeatedly requested the driver extend his reach, but the driver intentionally declined, which annoyed the worker, and resulted in her leaving the booth.
A director from the company, identified as Yang told the Legal Evening News that the staff member in the video had worked for five hours consecutively at night and she wouldn’t have left if there were no provocation. There had been many such cases against the toll gate staff, Yang added.
A Weibo user with the screen name of @YOUAREADOG- who claims to be the colleague of the female worker said that she had tried to stand up many times, reaching for the driver's pass, reported the Legal Evening News.
After this, Chinese netizens began to lash out at the driver’s behavior, which could be considered harassment.
"There are a few people who take delight in making fun of others. They feel it’s funny but actually their behavior shows they are under-educated," @aobaojingxuanzhekouquan posted.
It’s reported that the driver has made an apology to the company.
